The UK Energy Innovation Awards consistently brings together more than 300 of the industry’s finest to celebrate the latest and greatest technologies that are helping to transform our energy future.

For the 2019 awards the branding needed to incorporate the themes of technology, innovation and energy, but also be representative of the new water categories that were being introduced and of course, convey the glamour of the awards ceremony. I used galaxy imagery to encompass all of these themes, with the orange and blue colourways being representative of the gas, electricity and water industries.

Website design

Previously, the awards only had an online presence as a page on the EIC’s corporate website, so to make a bigger impact and raise the profile of the event for 2019, I developed a new microsite for the awards: www.ukeiawards.com.

The microsite allows for a much better user experience with more interactive features and information about previous awards and winners. A focus on SEO optimisation also means that the awards are easy to find on Google and other search engines.

Print

The galaxy imagery and colourways continue to run through all of the marketing assets and print work, with transparencies used to enhance photographic imagery and improve the readability of the text.

To support the marketing campaign for the UK Energy Innovation Awards, I also created a series of branded social media tiles to be used by the EIC, the awards sponsors and awards finalists.

The tiles were created to support the various stages of the events planning calendar from entries opening to showcasing specific categories, judges, shortlisted entries and winners on the night.
